A day in the life: Ryan White, Interactive Director

Name: Ryan White

What is your title? Interactive Director

What does that mean? I am in charge of designing and developing our client’s web projects.

What’s your favorite thing about the Forum culture? Our teamwork. Our team is very committed to helping and being there for each other.

If you weren’t working at Forum, what do you think you would be doing? Possibly a basketball coach or a cartoonist.

What social media platform do you use most often? Instagram. I love the photography and I’m really enjoying the new(er) stories feature.

What might you find yourself doing around 10 a.m. on a regular work day? Depends on the day, I’m either in Sketch designing or I’m knee-deep in code.

What motto do you live by? Do or do not… There is no try.

What are your top sources of news and how often do you check them? Twitter for world news. I visit https://www.designernews.co/ & http://sidebar.io/ for design related news.

What do you like best about your job? I love what I do. I really enjoy interactive design and couldn’t see myself doing anything else.

What’s one thing you wish you knew as a recent college graduate? To slow down and not take things for granted.

What time do you get up? Depends on the day, usually no later than 7am.

How many times do you snooze? The snooze button is both my friend and enemy. I probably hit the snooze button 3 or 4 times.

When you aren’t working what are you doing? I’m usually hanging out with my son, trying to stay active, watching basketball (go Warriors) or watching football (go Vols!).

Tell us about your family. I have a 6 (almost 7) year old son, Garrett. He’s the best! He keeps me on my toes and keeps me laughing every day.

Describe yourself in one word. Grateful.
