Name: Callie Flack

What is your title? Creative Strategist

What does that mean? As a creative strategist, I work closely with a portfolio of clients to build and manage creative marketing strategies and solid execution plans. As the day-to-day client contact, I listen to the client’s needs and goals and then work with our team to put a plan into place that draws on all of Forum’s resources – from graphic design to copy writing to developing and managing a digital presence. Coordinating all these resources ensures clients will have a comprehensive, cohesive and impactful strategy that drives results.

What are your top sources of news and how often do you check them? Almost all my news consumption happens on my phone, tablet or computer. I read the Skimm every morning – a succinct and funny recap of the top news written in the voice of your best friend. I also follow several news sources on Twitter and browse top local, national and international headlines throughout the day. And, hanging onto those bulldog roots, I still check out the University of Georgia’s student newspaper, The Red & Black from time-to-time.

What do you like best about your job? One week in, and I can say I work with smart people who are all excellent at what they do, and I can learn from them every day. I am a perpetual student at heart, and my role allows me to constantly expand my knowledge, whether it is about our client’s services or products or about industry trends and expertise. I also love the diversity of my role. I can hop from planning and implementing social media strategies to writing and editing blogs and newsletters to brainstorming, developing and delivering strategic marketing plans to potential clients…all in one week!

What’s one thing you wish you knew as a recent college graduate? Follow your passion and don’t be afraid to zig and zag. It’s so important to do what you enjoy, and everything is about learning and taking risks. Success is not a linear path and zigs and zags come with the territory.

A little bit about your life outside of work…

What time do you get up? 5:30 a.m., if I even make it that long.

How many times do you snooze? I don’t. Snooze was my biggest downfall before children. Now those few quiet hours in the morning are indispensable.

How do you take your coffee? Often and with a little cream.

When you aren’t working what are you doing? Exercising, meal planning and cooking, chasing kids, and unfortunately, endless amounts of laundry. From running and swimming to Pilates and kettlebells, I am a fitness fanatic. I am also a health-nut and love planning meals and cooking for my family and friends. Combine that with the daily household responsibilities, and my time outside of work finds a way to quickly disappear.

Tell us about your family. My husband, Kevin, and I have been married for 10 years and have beautiful twin boys, Harrison and Patrick, and a furry, four-legged child, Reggie.

Describe yourself in one word. Determined.
